Thomas K. Stonerock 84, of Bellefontaine, beloved husband, father grandfather and great grandfather went home to be with the Lord on October 26, 2025.
He was born February 6, 1941, in Catlettsburg, Kentucky the son of the late Ernest & Martha (Perkins) Stonerock. He married Patricia S (Curl) on September 9, 1961, and she survives. Thomas retired from Alcoa in Sidney after 10 years of service, prior to that he worked at Westinghouse for 20 years, at Stolle Machinery in Sidney for 10 years and for the city of Bellefontaine Parks and Recreation.
Thomas grew up in Sidney, Ohio, where he went to high school and excelled in varsity football. He was very proud of his time playing for the Jackets, Powerhouse football teams.
In his younger years, he spent many enjoyable years coaching youth & city baseball teams. He enjoyed playing church softball and coaching. He was a big supporter of the Bellefontaine Chieftains athletics. He enjoyed watching and hoping someday he would get to see the Cincinnati Bengals win a Super Bowl. He also enjoyed fishing, traveling and mowing grass. Everything was sports as long as any of his family was with him.
He truly loved and deeply cared for his wife, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and grand dogs. He would give anyone his last dollar or the shirt off his back. He had a strong belief in Jesus and would often sit at the table to read his Bible, though he has gone on to glory. His spirit lives on in the hearts of those who loved him. Survivors include his daughters Teri (Mark) Russell, Paula (Jarious) Wilson; son Matt (Brandie) Stonerock; grandchildren Andrea Reid, Katie Russell (faithful dog Benji), Alex (Sarah) Wilson, Alivia (Nate Brown) Newcomb, Clay (Payton Manahan) Russell, Derek Stonerock, Taylor (Andrew Dunbar) Russell, Jayla (Nash Eaton) Wilson; great grandchildren include Brooklyn & Sophia Reid, Raelynn Newcomb, Braxton Patch, Charlotte Wilson and Stella & Sawyer Manahan.
