Stephen "Steve" H. Jones 84, passed away unexpectedly, Saturday January 11th in Bellefontaine.

​He was born January 28th, 1940, to the late George and Floda (Danley) Jones. ​He was a loving husband of 60 years, caring father and grandfather.  On January 20th, 1964 he married the love of his life, Susan "Sue" Stauffer and she survives.

​He served in the US Army and the National Guard. He loved to travel and enjoyed mushroom hunting, watching OSU and Bengals football and boxing. He was a talented musician who loved country music. He was in a small local band with his good friends Kenny Workman, Tom Miller, Jamie Miller & Scott Workman. He retired from Speco Corporation in 1993 after 30 years.

He is also survived by his daughters, Patty (Gary "Gus") Young, Jennifer Riley and Stacey Esch. Five grandchildren, Jeremy (Rachel) Carroll, Brooke Carroll, Logan Riley, Connor Riley and Brittany Halterman.  Four great grandchildren, Kendal Carroll, Holden Carroll, Roe Griffith and Grayson Halterman. Special family friends Kent Carroll and Jim Riley.

​He was preceded in death by siblings Richard Johnson, Bernice Crabtree and Robert Jones. Special family friend Mike Halterman.

​Celebration of life will be held Friday, January 17, 2025 at Cornerstone Faith Church of West Liberty, 215 West Columbus Street from 4-7pm. a family requests casual attire.

He will be greatly missed, we love you! "ME TOO!"
