Shane Jeffrey Short, 45 of North Fort Myers, FL, formally of Logan County left this earthly home on Friday, November 22, 2024.

Shane was born in Bellefontaine, the son of Jeffrey Short and Celeste Clifton.

Shane served his county in the Marine Corps for nine years. He then went to Ohio State College to become a nurse, but never got to finish. He became ill and was deemed a 100% disabled veteran.

He is survived by his mother, Celeste (John) Clifton; brother, Sean Short; nephew, Zach Lemmings; stepbrothers, Jeff Clifton and Scott Lane; stepsisters, Tracy Sipes, Amy Rogan and Tammy Lane; grandmother, Martha Miller; many aunts, uncles, cousins and beloved friends.

He is preceded in death by his father, Jeffrey (Georgetta) Short; grandparents, Denver and Ruth Short; grandfather, Arliss Miller; Shane's best friend and companion, his fur baby puppy Baxter; several other family members.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, December 28, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at the East Liberty Church of Christ. Burial will take place in Zanesfield Cemetery after the service.
