After a long hard, courageous fight with ALS, Ronald E. Popp of Bellefontaine lost his battle on Monday April 26 th, he peacefully passed at home and is now in the loving arms of God.
He was born to Gene & Jane Popp on November 14, 1955 in Columbus Ohio. After graduating high school, he proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, being stationed in Colorado began his love for the rugged west. In November of 1977, he married "the love of his life, a red head named Carol Ann". He enjoyed family vacations, especially to Colorado with his beloved wife Carol Ann, children and grandchildren. Ron was also a proud member of the Solid Rock Baptist Church, he enjoyed hunting, traveling, photography, riding his Harley and was an avid shooter. Until his diagnosis in 2017, Ron worked for the Bellefontaine City Schools
He is survived by his beloved wife Carol Ann (Nichols/Keller) Popp, his 3 sons Eric Popp, Greg (Sally) Keller, Chad (Michelle) Keller, 5 grandchildren Katie Redding, Drew Swank, Cade Keller and Heather Merriman & Breanna Sidders, 3 great grandchildren, Slayde and Lucas Merriman and Alexis Hone, 2 brothers, Steve & Dennis Popp
A celebration and appreciation of his life will be held, 12:00 PM Monday at Jennings Farley & Seeley Funeral Home & Crematory. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until time of service.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the ALS foundation in Ron's name
