Ronald Thomas Cochran 79, of West Liberty passed away Thursday October 6, 2022 in his home, after a 9 month battle with cancer.  He was born January 12, 1943 in Glendale, California, to Thomas Wilbur and Margaret May (Hall) Cochran.  In 1951 Ronald's family moved to Ridgeway, Ohio where he graduated High School. His father worked at race tracks training horses and Ron helped with grooming and training as well.  He worked at Super Foods for a short time before becoming a Welder.  In 2001 he retired from Sheet Metal Workers International and was an organizer and business agent of the Local Union No 24. Ron enjoyed family outings and traveling in the motorhome with his wife and dogs.  He was a Navy Veteran and a Life Member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Harold Kerr Post, the American Legion and Fraternal Order of the Eagles where he served as President 1993 and 1994.  Survivors include his wife Pam of 37 years; sons Ronald T. (Aumpka) Cochran Jr, Jason W. (Heather) Allen, Erick Cochran; daughters Kym Cochran and Janel L. (Jeremy) Hilderbrand; 12 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Warren Terry Cochran.  Pastor Bryan Meadows will officiate a funeral service 1:00 PM Wednesday October 12, 2022 at Jennings Farley & Seeley Funeral Home and Crematory 5591 US Route 68 South West Liberty, Ohio 43357.  Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until time of service.
