Rodney J. Henman, 73 of Bellefontaine passed away Saturday, January 20, 2018 at Mary Rutan Hospital.

Rodney was born October 21, 1944 in Bellefontaine, OH to the late Ralph Lambert and Margaret Mary (Slattery) Henman. On May 22, 1965 he married the love of his life Mary Alice (Yates) in Sidney, OH.

Rodney worked on the Railroad for Penn Central and Conrail for many years and then went to work for Honda of America in Marysville, Ohio where he retired after 18 years.  His retirement years were spent studying his family history and travelling to many cemeteries to ensure that past relatives grave sites were cleaned up and presentable.  He also enjoyed doing crossword puzzles for hours on end at his picnic table, watching old cowboy movies and making sure his grandkids always had money in their pockets.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Alice Henman; sons, Mike (Kelly) Henman and Brian (Beth) Henman; grandchildren, David (Tiffany) Butler, Amanda Butler, Kaylee Henman, Carli Henman, Jake Henman, Luke Henman, Mallory Henman and Kate Henman; six great grandchildren; brother, Ralph (Eulaine) Henman and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

A Private Family Reception will take place at a later date at Jennings Farley & Seeley Funeral Home & Crematory in West Liberty, Ohio.
