Roberta Jean Knief 82, of Lewistown passed away peacefully at Heartland (Belle Springs) Care Center in Bellefontaine on Thursday December 27, 2018.  She was born at home January 8, 1936 in Lewistown, Ohio: the daughter of the late Millard and Rosella (Schaffer) Notestine. Roberta was a 1953 graduate of Washington High School in Lewistown. She married her high school sweetheart Farrell Knief on May 8, 1955 and he preceded her in death in 2014.  Roberta was a farmer's wife and raised her three children, she enjoyed her family, grandchildren, great grandchildren and the farming community friends. Survivors include her children Tim (Debbie Mitchell) Knief, Debby (Lynn) Hooley, Brian (Silvina Zaldivar) Knief ;  grandchildren David (Tanya) Knief, Susan Knief, Jaime (Chris) Williams, Emily (Kip) Jenkins, Corbin Knief and Calvin Knief; great grandchildren Graham and Kenley Jenkins; sisters Shirley Erter and Beverly Shroyer; several nieces and nephews. Pastor Ed Shady will officiate a funeral service 10:30 AM on Thursday January 3 ^rd , 2019 at Jennings Farley & Seeley Funeral Home & Crematory 5591 US Rt 68 S. West Liberty, Ohio 43357.  Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery DeGraff, Ohio.  Visitation will be Wednesday January 2 ^nd from 4-7 pm at the Funeral Home.
