Robert E. Q. Nicholl, 89 of Bellefontaine passed Monday, June 15, 2020 at the Hospice of Central Ohio Inpatient Care Unit at the OSU Wexner Medical Center.

Robert was born December 28, 1930 in West Liberty to the late Audley Quinten Robert and Francis Margaret (Culp) Nicholl. On July 17, 1949 in Bellefontaine he married Betty J. Norton, who preceded him in death, after 66 years of marriage, in 2016.

Robert graduated from Bellefontaine High School in 1948. Over the years he worked at Neers Gravel Pit, Watkins Farm Supply, Hopewell Dairy and 27 years at DAB. Robert later owned and operated Nicholl Portable Welding where he was certified for gas, steam and airlines.

Robert is survived by his children, John (Becky) Nicholl, Peggy Gist and David (Beverly) Nicholl; 9 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchild; many nieces and nephews; several loving in-laws.

Robert is preceded in death by his wife; his parents; son, Ken Nicholl; brothers, Ron Nicholl, Eldon Nicholl and Gerald Nicholl.
