ROBERT A. HENSON, 95, of Springfield, passed away Sunday, August 26, 2018 at Brookdale Buck Creek.  He was born December 25, 1922 in Springfield, Ohio the son of Raymond Averell and Viola Mae (Woosley) Henson.  Bob retired in 1986 from Robertson Can Company after 29 years as Vice-President of Sales.  He was a loyal member of First United Church of Christ, Springfield for 72 years and more recently of the North Hampton Community Church of North Hampton.  Mr. Henson was also a 74-year member of Masonic Lodge St. Andrews No. 619, Springfield Chapter No. 48, Springfield Council No. 17 and Palestine Commandery No. 33.  He was also a member and Past-President of the High Twelve Club #429 of Springfield.  Bob is survived by two loving sons and daughters-in-law, Mark A. and Jeanne Henson of Springfield, Dr. James D. and Gloria Henson of Ormond Beach, Florida; six beloved grandchildren, Stephen L. and Christopher A. Henson both of Springfield, John D. Henson of Washington D.C., Matthew J. (Keelen) Henson of Jacksonville, Florida, Mark D. (Stefanie) Henson of Ormond Beach, and Amanda (Brad) Majzner of West Palm Beach, Florida; very special great-grandchildren, Coryn (Paul) Schuler, Bryce, Cameron, Brooklynn, Logan, Elise Henson, and Haley Henson, Calvin and Dorothy Majzner; and one niece, Linda (Jim) Owens of Springfield.  He was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 51 years, Mary Ellen (Gordon) Henson in 1998; and sister, Janice E.
