Rita Ann (Burnside) Hardman, 73, found peace and was finally able to rest when she passed away Thursday, with her husband by her side on September 26, 2019 at 6:30pm. Rita was a recent resident at Belle Springs nursing home in Bellefontaine and had been battling Alzheimer Disease. She was born June 2, 1946 to the late Helen Louise (Newland) Burnside and Henry Elden Burnside  in Middleburg Ohio. Rita was one of nine children born to her parents. She married Jack Ellis Hardman on July 24, 1964 in Middleburg and had made a life with him for 55 years. Together they have four children,  nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She loved taking care of her family and her home,  making memorable meals and giving her wonderful hugs. When she made her noodles and her pies, you knew you were home.

Rita also was the owner of "Pizza Ritas" pizza shop in Middleburg in the early 80's and enjoyed that venture.

She is survived by her husband Jack,  sister Kerlene Kennedy,  brother Elden Burnside,  two daughters Kimberly (John) Carpenter,  Lisa (Sean) Blanford,  two sons Jack Douglas (Stephanie) Hardman,  Paul  (Jill) Hardman,  grandchildren  Amanda (Ryan) Kerns,  Ericka  (Tim) Tulloss,  Rita Lauren (Matt) Ricker,  Justine Hardman,  Austin  Carpenter,  Jonah Hardman,  Emma Hardman,  Chandler Hardman, and Chayce Hardman and great grandchildren Illa, Cecilia,  Silas,  Andrew,  Kendal, Thea, Eli, Layla and soon to be born Reilly.

Rita's happiest moments were with her family and playing with her grand and great grandchildren,  she is loved and greatly missed.
