Richard Ray Knief, 67, passed away on October 14, 2026, at Ayden of Belle Springs. He was born on April 14, 1957 in Urbana, Ohio, to the late Kenneth and Julia (Jones) Knief.

He was a 1975 graduate from Triad High School. Richard loved playing online games and spent many hours doing so. He loved to play guitar and sing, especially if he was doing Karaoke.

Richard is survived by his three children, Kristin Peterson, Washington; Rebecca (Jay), Washington; Kenny (Katie) Ohio. Grandchildren McKenzie, Abigail, Jeremiah, Olivia, and Liam. Sister Sheila (Lee) Ballinger, West. Several nieces and nephews as well as many great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by both sets of grandparents. Stepfather, Richard Holland.

There will be no services per Richard’s wishes.
