Patricia Lou Bader, 88, of DeGraff, Ohio passed into the arms of her Lord in the early hours of March 3, 2026. Pat was a twin born to Clark and May Bess (Ailes) Spillers on September 27,1937 in Pemberton, Ohio. Raised on a farm outside of Covington, Ohio, Pat was an active 4-H member where she learned to be a master seamstress, baker, and served as a former Miami County Fair Queen. In high school, Pat earned a blue ribbon for her angel food cake which she baked in a coal stove.
In 1955, Pat met David Bader while working at the bank in Covington who she married on June 17, 1956. A proud Navy wife, Pat was fearless as she made a home for her husband and four children while relocating to multiple Naval bases across the globe. The mother of four was always busy making clothes for her family, canning food from her garden, crafting beautiful wedding cakes, and finding hours to create custom hand-beaded wedding gowns for blushing brides. Pat provided gowns and wedding cakes across the United States taking special care to even fly one cake as a first-class passenger from Ohio to California for a special bride.
Pat always had a smile for everyone, an infectious giggle, a kind word in a greeting card, and a joyful wave from her window for any visitor making their way down her lane. She will be missed by all those whose lives she has touched.
Pat is survived by her children, Donna Bader, Loris (Dan) Kimpel, Carl (Cheryl) Bader, and Joe (Kelli) Bader; her grandchildren, Jason (Melissa) Baggett, Aimee Meeker, Keven (Marie) Baggett, David (Carlos) Kimpel, Adam Kimpel, Cole Bader, Eric Bader, Cassaundra (Bud) Dietrich, Bodey (Talyne) Hupp, Alexander Bader, Michael Bader, Lilah Bader, Jana Bader, Tony Bader, Eliza Bader, Mica Bader, Elena Bader, and June Bader; great-grandchildren Rylan Baggett, Adyson Baggett, Damon Shaw, Ava Meeker, Brooke Leann Baggett, Austin Baggett, Bentley Baggett, Atlas Kimpel, Athena Kimpel, Eris Kimpel, Alina Bader, Gavin Dietrich, Eloise Dietrich, Lapis Hupp, and Enzo Hupp; one great-great-grandchild, Clark Shaw; brother-in-law Fritz (Dianne) Bader; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends who cherished her deeply. Pat is preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, David, her parents, her five siblings Tony – her twin, Carl, Lina Mae, Cliff, and Carole.
