Patricia A. Carter, 64, of Bellefontaine, passed away Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at Miami Valley Hospital surrounded by her family.
Patty was born August 12, 1961, in Bellefontaine to Don and Ann Rea. On May 31, 1980, in Bellefontaine she married the love of her life, Mark A. Carter, whom she now joins in heaven in the eternal joy of the Lord.
Patty was a faithful and strong woman of God who loved Jesus with all her heart and was loved by Him. She instilled this devotion to Christ into her family and created a legacy for her sons to do the same with their family. Patty will always be remembered for how much she loved her family, she even found love a second time with her fiancé Kenny Rogers. Some of her favorite things to do were hosting family gatherings and laughing with family and friends. She enjoyed going to the beach, running, and showering blessings on her children and grandchildren. Patty also enjoyed helping lead a Widows Ministry, focused on providing comfort, care and a safe place to find support after the loss of their beloved husbands. Patty was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, fiancé and friend. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to get to know her.
She is survived by her children, Andy (Bethany) Carter and Tony (Catherine) Carter; grandchildren, Kaylie, Madelyn, Anthony, Ellison, and Hannah; father and mother, Don and Ann Rea; siblings, Anita (Jim) Macaluso, Cindy (Fred) Harshfield, Tamara Jenkins (Gary Hewitt), Kim (Ron) Milton; fiancé, Kenny Rogers; numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Mark Carter; brother-in-law, Mike Jenkins.

A Funeral Service will take place Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Calvary Baptist Church, 1140 Rush Ave., Bellefontaine, OH 43311. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at the church from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. An additional hour of visitation will be held prior to the service on Wednesday. Burial will take place in Huntsville Cemetery following the service.
