Michael "Mike" Wayne Powell 64, of Bellefontaine passed away Saturday Oct 14, 2017 at his residence. He was born November 7, 1952 in Lima the son of Robert E. and Marilyn (Willis) Powell. Mike graduated from Bellefontaine High School in 1971 and was a US Navy Veteran during Vietnam. He retired from Walmart as an assistant manager, and also worked for Quality Farm & Fleet, National Soft Water and Culligan. Survivors include his parents; son Cody Powell; brother Mark (Karen) Powell; sisters Karen (Eric) Hart, Jodi (Ted) VanderRoest; several nieces and nephews. A gathering of family and friends will be held 2-4 pm Sunday at Jennings Farley Funeral Home and Crematory 5591 US Rt 68 S. West Liberty. Military honors will be held at the conclusion of the gathering at 4:00 pm. In lieu of flowers contributions may be directed to the charity of donors choice.
