Merlin Ray Hoffer Sr. 67 passed away the morning of January 8, 2019 at his home in Huntsville.

He is proceeded in death by his parents, Berlin and Grace (Dickinson) Hoffer, brothers, Kenneth and Thomas.

He is survived by his sister, Shirley Stout. Merlin had three children, Merlin Jr., Melissa (Arthur "Doody"), Tabatha (Michael Jr.), eight grandchildren, Tommy, Amie, Kyle, Paige, Skyler, Merlin III, Dominic, and Xandria, 6 great grandchildren, Bentley, Gabriel, Madilynn, Daniel, Michael and Ryatt, and several nieces and nephews.

Merlin spent many years fishing, working on cars and loved to ride motorcycles. He was also a CB Radio enthusiast.

On Saturday, January 12, 2019, the family will be holding a memorial dinner at East Liberty Town Hall on the corner of Foundry and Main St. in East Liberty, Ohio at 1:00 p.m.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Logan County Cancer Society.
