Mary Elizabeth "Libby" Carpenter 89, of Bellefontaine passed away Monday August 17, 2020 at Logan Acres Care Center.  She was born August 7, 1931 in Bellefontaine, Ohio the daughter of William and Mary (Shantz) Wenger.   Mary was a retired Registered Nurse and was a long time member of Calvary Baptist Church.  She was preceded in death recently by her husband Kenneth Carpenter of 54 years in April of 2020.  Survivors include her sister Ruth (Joe) Stickrod; brother-in-law Arthur Kemp; sister-in-law Shirley Wenger; several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.  She was also preceded in death by five brothers and one sister. Graveside services will be held 1:00 PM Tuesday August 25, 2020 at Highland Memorial Cemetery Gazebo 5591 US Rt. 68 S. with Pastor Jeff Willetts officiating.  Arrangements are in the care of Jennings Farley & Seeley Funeral Home & Crematory.
