Luisa B. Alonzo, 87 of Lakeview passed away Saturday, March 29, 2025 at her residence.

Luisa was born August 19, 1937 in the Philippines to the late Pedro and Augustina (Biong) Barsana. She later married Jose A. Alonzo, who preceded her in death June 6, 1992. She is also preceded in death by her children, Vilma B. Alonzo and Natividad A. Whitsell.

Luisa worked in Virginia Beach as a housekeeper for many years. She later worked in Alaska for a fishing company and then in Richmond, IN at a factory packaging gloves. She then retired from the Holiday INN after many years of dedicated work. In 2004 Luisa obtainer her United States citizenship, something she and her family are very proud of. She was a member of Fatima Devotion here in Ohio. She loved spending time with all her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Luisa will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her children, Rosario A. (Jon) Turner, Josephine A. (John) Bayhan, Jose B. Alonzo Jr., Teresita A. (Charles) Day, Cris B. Alonzo, Nelson B. Alonzo, Edwin B. Alonzo, Diwa B. Alonzo and Marivic Alonzo Bryant; Jennifer (Dustin) Jones, Catherine Jo (Wade) Guthrie, Jessica (Chad) McCurdy, Elizabeth (Michael) Patricola, Jonathon W. Turner, Andrew Lee (Heather) Turner, Alexandra Gonsor, John Jose Whitsell and Georgia Lindsey; great grandchildren; Colton Jones, Cammille Jones, Winry Sandlin, Carter McCurdy, Landon McCurdy, Verity R. Guthrie, Nicholas Turner, Natalie Parker, Vincint Hamilton, Andrew Kai Turner and Kayden Turner, many other grandchildren and great grandchildren in the Philippines.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, April 2, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Jennings Farley & Seeley Funeral Home & Crematory. Visitation will take place from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Burial will take place in Highland Memorial Cemetery following the service.
