Linda Sue Austin, 70 of Rushsylvania passed away Saturday, April 5, 2025 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

Linda was born June 23, 1954 in Bellefontaine to the late James Richard and Helen Louise (Zachary) Price. On June 11, 1972 in Rushsylvania she married the love of her life Allan Dale Austin, who survives. She is also survived by her children, Richie (Michelle) Austin, Jason (Ruth) Austin and Jody (Steve) Skeen; grandchildren Dakota, Starrla, James, Matthew, Brandon and Daniel; step grandchildren, Kelsey and Cory; great grandchildren, Xander and Cooper; step great grandchildren, Branson, Rip, Walker; sister, Debra Ohler; many nieces and nephews; several other loving family members.

Linda graduated from Ridgemont High School, class of 1972. She worked as a nurse, medical secretary and as the Health Unit Coordinator in the emergency room at Mary Rutan Hospital from 1989 – 2013. After retirement from Mary Rutan Hospital, she worked as a cashier at Big Lots and as a Dietary Aide at Logan Acres. She also volunteered at Not By Choice, a charity to assist cancer patients. Linda enjoyed thrift shopping and coffee dates with her granddaughters. She also enjoyed going fishing with her grandsons. Linda had two dogs, Sadie Jane and Sassy, who she treated like her own children. She was a very kind and caring person. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She will be deeply missed.

Linda is preceded in death by her parents; grandchild, Johnathan; sisters, Marcia and Patricia.

A funeral service will be held Friday, April 11, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Jennings Farley & Seeley Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Burial will take place in Rushsylvania cemetery following the service.

Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donors choice.
