LEWIS "BUTCH" LAWSON LENHART, JR., 73, of Bellefontaine, passed away Thursday, April 5, 2018 at Grant Hospital, Columbus Ohio. He was born September 11, 1944 in Bellefontaine, the son of Lewis Lenhart, Sr. and Imogene (Sowards) Lenhart. Butch was owner and operator of Village Builders and Lenhart Inc. since 1971, and built many homes throughout Logan County and the surrounding area. He served our country in the U. S. Army during Vietnam stationed in Germany. Butch was preceded in death by his father and grandson, Joshua Lewis Reed. Butch is survived by his mother; wife, Judith Kay (Wagner) Lenhart; daughter Tonja Kay (Lenhart) Reed; son Ty and Julie Lenhart; grandchildren, Tristan, Lauralee, Slate, Cole and Kaydin Lenhart; sisters Linda (Carl) Renkert, Jane (Charlie) Kline, Cheryl Lenhart and Beverly (Dwight) Watkins; several nieces and nephews. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 4-8 pm Wednesday April 11, 2018 at Jennings Farley & Seeley Funeral Home 5591 US Rt 68 S. West Liberty, Ohio 43357. Pastor John Watkins will officiate a funeral service in the funeral home at 12:00 noon Thursday, with visitation 1 hour prior to service. Burial will be held at Highland Memorial Cemetery.
