Leonard Lee Cook, 89 of De Graff passed away Friday, January 29, 2021 at Green Hills Community. He was born November 17, 1931 in De Graff to the late Harry Dean and Bessie Fern (Hall) Cook. On June 2, 1951 in Bellefontaine he married Elizabeth Ann Dodson, who preceded him in death July 27, 2019
Leonard was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Bellefontaine and had been active in jail ministry and was a lifetime member of Gideon's International. He graduated in 1947 from De Graff Local School. Prior to 1967 he farmed and milked dairy cows. He then started Cook Implement Sales, which he ran until 2017. He and Ann owned and operated Riverside and Oakdale Camps. They traveled to Mexico, Germany and by motor home to Alaska. He loved going to flea markets, gun and tractor shows with Ann and their dog, Sweet Pea. He was a kind and generous man and never knew a stranger. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Leonard is survived by his four children, Brenda (Robert) Covault, Karen Young, Audrey Giles and Steve Cook; nine grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; one great great grandson; brother, Robert (Helen) Cook.
Leonard is preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Ann Cook; grandson, Eric Giles; son-in-law, Donald Giles; sister, Lois (Gene) Blumenschein.
A Funeral Service will be held Thursday, February 4, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Jennings Farley & Seeley Funeral Home & Crematory. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will take place in Greenwood Union Cemetery, De Graff following the service. Those attending the services are asked to wear a mask and practice social distancing.
