Kathleen Rae Latham Holden of Bellefontaine, passed away on Sunday February 11, 2018 in the comfort of her own home.
She was the daughter of the late Thomas Monroe Latham and Olga Freda Latham. Born in Columbia City, Indiana on November 4th 1953, her family moved to Bellefontaine in 1960 where she graduated from Bellefontaine High School in 1972. From 1972-1976 she attended Bowling Green State University where she received a Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design. In 1977, she opened Kathleen Interiors, a design studio specializing in custom order designs for both residential and commercial markets serving the Greater Miami Valley. She is survived by her former husband Richard L. Holden and their four children, Thomas Richard Holden, James Robert Holden, Lauren Elizabeth (Brian) Ratliff and Lynn Elise Holden (Matthew Schoeneman). She is also survived by three beautiful grandchildren, Brooke L. Holden, Cameron J. Ratliff and Joseph C. Ratliff. Three sisters, Barbara Roland Gorman, Kay Slesinger Rich and Jeri Lynn Drew. Two brothers , Thomas D. Latham and Ron Latham. She would also like to mention her dear niece Shelly Latham Olson, who was like a little sister to her and brought her so much joy and companionship over the years. Kathleen was a licensed realtor and received great pleasure working with first time home buyers and investors. She was a former Vice President of the Downtown Merchants Association and was a former member of the Logan County Chamber of Commerce. She was one of the first group of women invited to join Kiwanis who's members assisted in creating ways to serve local children in the community through service projects and fundraising. Kathleen also enjoyed assisting local area school districts as a substitute teacher for many years. In her final years Kathleen has been the proud owner/operator of Meals, Munchies and More serving meals in the local community. Kathleen was preceded in death by her father Thomas Monroe Latham, mother Olga Freda Latham, brothers John Robert Latham and Charles Edward Latham. Kathleen was a proud member of the Messiah Lutheran Church in Urbana, Ohio, Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Monday February 19, 2018 at Messiah Lutheran Church 1013 E. Lawn Ave Urbana, Ohio 43078. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in West Liberty, Ohio. Visitation will be Sunday February 18, 2018 from 2-5 pm at Jennings Farley & Seeley Funeral Home Crematory, 5591 US Rt 68 S. West Liberty, Ohio 43357.
