Joyce A. (Reed) Tucker Todd passed away on December 2,2021 at the age of 84 after a courageous battle with COVID-19. Joyce was a loving wife, mother, grandmother aunt and sister and friend. She will be missed and will always be cherished.

Joyce was born on April 26,1937 in Winchester Tennessee to Mother Clara M. (Taylor) Reed and Father George A Reed. Joyce met and married the love of her life the late James R Tucker on July 16, 1953. At ages 16 and 18 they were full of ambition and had a hunger for a better life. They relocated to Chicago Illinois with the intent to work in the Steel Industry. They quickly learned the Chicago sewer systems. She spent many hardworking years beside her husband and family. They owned a city sewer business, and it is still in operation today. After the passing of her teenage love, husband, and father of her 3 Children on June 9,1980, Joyce later met and married her wonderful and kind husband Billy Todd. He preceded her in death on January 26,2014. For the past 10 years she lived with her daughter in Zanesfield, Ohio.

Joyce was a dedicated mother and grandmother. She treasured children and pets and embraced life. She was a beautiful lady who had a graceful personality and always made people feel loved. She especially loved the holidays and made it special for everyone. She had a flair for decorating and loved lights. She wrote a slogan for a national sewer company that is still used today. She later worked at the Harold Chronicle in Tennessee and became a receptionist and helped proofread articles.

It is from the hearts of great women like this that our families are raised our communities and country are built.

Survivors include, Daughters Betina D. Eagy (late Jack Sr.), Sheila L. Eagy (Donald Jr.), Daughter in law Anita Tucker, Connie Gibb and Roger Dailey. More than 50 Grand and great grandchildren, her sister Mary Sheets Peter. Brother-in-law Benjamin Tucker (Tina) and best friend and sister at heart Carolyn Pickett.

I addition to her husbands she was Preceded in death by her son Larry R. Tucker Sr.

A memorial service will be held 12 :00 PM Saturday December 18, 2021 at Jennings Farley & Seeley Funeral Home 5591 US Route 68 South West Liberty, Ohio 43357.  Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until time of service.
