John "Jack" Engle 70 of Bellefontaine passed away Sunday, March 25, 2018 at Mary Rutan Hospital.

John was born August 8, 1947 in Bellefontaine to the late Curtis David Engle and Evelyn Jewel (Denney) Fulmer. On July 15, 1966 he married Kathleen Sharon "Sherri" Miller in Bellefontaine.

John enjoyed hunting, golfing and taking trips to Arizona and the Carolinas. He also enjoyed working in his yard which he took great pride in. John loved spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren. Holidays, family gatherings and BBQ's were amongst some of his favorite things in life. He will be deeply missed not only by his family and close friends, but all that knew him.

John is survived by his wife, Kathleen Sharon "Sherri" Engle; children, Kenneth (Rachel) Engle, Melissa Engle and Joshua (Sandra) Engle; grandchildren, Simon Engle, Logan Engle, Samuel Engle, Robbie Smith, Cheyenne Engle, Wyatt Smith, Amber Carey and Ashley Ewing; several great grandchildren; siblings, Cheryl ( Richard) Cooksey, James (Peggy) Engle, Jan (Karen) Engle, Betsy Engle and David (Stacey) Engle; many nieces and nephews; special family friends, Andy Begosh, Bill and Carol Parker, Nick and Connie Reynolds, Judy Greene; "adopted" children, Seth Reynolds, Heather Horne, Dane Greene and Devin Greene.

John is preceeded in death by his parents; step father, Arthur "Art" Fulmer; grandchildren, Corey Whitaker and Zachary Whitaker; brother, Jeri Engle; special family friend, Denny Greene; "adopted" son, Ryan Reynolds

A Celebration of life will be held 5:00 pm Thursday, March 29, 2018 at Jennings Farley & Seeley Funeral Home & Crematory. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. until time of service on Thursday.
