Jeffrey Lynn Chiles, 62, passed away surrounded by loved ones on Wednesday,

October 6, 2021, at Mary Rutan Hospital.

He was born in Bellefontaine, Ohio on October 30, 1958 to Kathleen Patricia "Pat" Brentlinger Chiles and the late Lawrence Clayton Chiles, Jr.  Jeff is survived by his daughters Tiffany (Allen) Stoner and Danielle (Troy) Jenkins; four grandchildren Kainan Stoner, Kyren Stoner, Alicia Jenkins, and Clayton Jenkins; his mother Pat Chiles, his brother James Chiles, nephew Roger Chiles, and special friend Lucinda Holycross. Jeff was preceded in death by his father and best friend, Lawrence "Junior" Chiles, and his Aunt Cleo Chiles.

Most notably known as "Tex" at the Logan County Sheriff Department, he began his law enforcement career with DeGraff PD and Bellefontaine City PD.  Jeff was also a farmer, truck driver, and all-around Jack of all Trades.  He also previously worked for A&I Supply of Bellefontaine and NAPA Auto Parts in DeGraff.  He was always available to lend a helping hand to a neighbor in need.  Jeff recently enjoyed watching his grandchildren at sporting and music events.

Per his request, there will be no services.  Arrangements are in the care of Jennings Farley & Seeley Funeral Home and Crematory.  In lieu of flowers, please consider making a memorial contribution to:
