James Shaw, 65 of West Liberty passed away Monday, December 12, 2022 at OSU Hospitals in Columbus, OH.
Jim was born February 24, 1957 in Kenton, OH to the late Theron and Alma (Gilbert) Shaw. On December 27, 2008 in Bellefontaine he married Ruby E. Jackson-Lockwood, who survives.
Jim retired from Honda after 31 years of dedicated work and later worked at Tractor Supply in Bellefontaine where he made many lifelong friends. He enjoyed gardening, working in the woods, driving his tractor and the great outdoors in general. Jim's greatest honor in life was being called "Paw Paw" by his loving grandchildren. He loved having his family around and spending as much time with them as possible, especially his grandchildren. Jim was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Ruby E. Shaw; children, Michael (Kaylin) Shaw and Deanna (Nathaniel Li) Shaw; step children, Samuel Lockwood and Amy (William) Patrick, grandchildren, Vivian Lockwood, Owen Patrick, Stella Shaw, Emma Patrick, Logan Li and one on the way; siblings, Jane (Tony) Fry, William (Sonnie) Shaw and Jan Williamson; numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Ann Henry; his parents; brother, Carl Shaw.
Pastor Matthew Sandlin will officiate a Funeral Service Friday, December 16, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at the Bellefontaine First Friends Church, 808 West Columbus Ave. Bellefontaine, OH 43311.Visitation will take place Thursday, December 15, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Jennings Farley & Seeley Funeral Home & Crematory, 5591 US Hwy 68 S. West Liberty, OH 43357 and again on Friday from 12:00 p.m. at the church prior to the service. Burial will take place in Fairview Cemetery-Belle Center following the service.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the Bellefontaine First Friends Church, 808 West Columbus Ave. Bellefontaine, OH 43311 in memory of Jim.
