James Franklin
"Jim" Heater
November 28, 1944 – September 8, 2020
James Franklin "Jim" Heater, 75 of West Liberty passed away Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at his residence surrounded by his family.
Jim was born November 28, 1944 in Bellefontaine to the late Ralph L. and Margaret D. (Jones) Heater. On September 4, 1965 in Dayton, OH he married the love of his life Patricia Sue Calvert.
Jim was greatly loved and respected by many as a man of quiet strength and great faith in his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. When he did have something to say, you listened carefully. He loved God with all of his heart. His wife, Patty, was the love of his life. He was the example his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and church family at Goshen Friends Church look up to as a model for living a well lived, meaningful life for Christ; even in death. He woke up in Heaven in the arms of Jesus. He lived his faith and has received his eternal reward. Jim also loved to tell a good story, spend quality time with his family and ride his Goldwing motorcycle. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his loving wife, Pat Heater of 55 years; daughter Mary E. Heater; grandchildren, Joshua and Aaron Heater, Shawn, Amanda and Kristopher Warwick; Nine great grandchildren; daughter-in-law Kathy Heater; brothers, Raymond (Rachel) Heater and Herbert (Virginia) Heater; sisters, Marjorie Shepard and Esther Dean; sister-in-law, Evelyn Heater; many nieces and nephews.
