Harvey Eugene Whitt 85 of McGuffey passed away Sunday, September 16, 2018 at his residence surrounded by his family.

Harvey was born Jan, 13, 1933 in Lucasville, OH to the late Marvin and Nettie (Sheets) Whitt. On August 4 ^th 1979 in Alger, OH he married the love of his life Ella Naleta Longbrake and had been happily married for 39 years.

Harvey proudly served in the United States Army as a medic for two years. He was a member of Victory Chapel of Praise in Harrod, OH. He was an avid pony puller for many years. Harvey he enjoyed listening to gospel music and driving a semi. He loved spending time with his little buddy "Scooter" his jack Russell.

Harvey is survived by his wife, Naleta Whitt; sons, Gary (Diana) Whitt of Fresno, OH and Danny (Lori) Whitt of Loudonville, OH; daughter, Michelle (Rammie) Manley of Elida, OH; grandchildren, Anthony (Kristin) Tevis, Marcus, Isaac, Makayla, Marissa, Madison, Rayanna; brothers, Clyde (Patti) Whitt, Glen (Helen) Whitt, Lowell (Sally) Whitt, Jim (Pat) Whitt and Steve Whitt; sisters, Diane (Leslie) Wheeler, Karen (Joe) Ward, Teresa (Tom) Higginbotham; many nieces and nephews.

The family is honoring Harvey's wishes to be cremated and having a Memorial Service take place on September 22, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the Victory Chapel of Praise 13634 State Route 235, Harrod, OH, 45850. Pastor Dave Schneer will officiate the service. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place at Fairview Cemetery, Kenton, OH at a later date.
