IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Glen Albert
"Pete" Nickleson
October 30, 1959 – September 26, 2022
Glen A. "Pete" Nickelson, 62, of Bellefontaine was welcomed into the arms of Jesus on Monday, September 26, 2022 at his residence following his battle of stage 4 esophageal cancer.
Glen was born on October 30, 1959 in Delaware, OH to the late Elmer and Grace (Jones) Nickelson. He was also preceded in death by a son, Josiah Nickelson; his brothers, James and Joe Nickelson.
He loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and continued trusting and having faith in Him throughout his fight with cancer. He always greeted you with a special smile and hello that said "I love you." It was so genuine and real, you never doubted his love for you.
Glen was a US Navy Veteran serving from 1978-1982 on the USS John F. Kennedy CV-67.
He loved his family more than anything. He always spoke highly of his children, whom he loved and cherished so dearly. They all shared a special love that was very clear how much they meant to each other. A great testimony for all to see.
Glen faced many obstacles but overcame and persevered, always pushing forward knowing in the end God and your faith in Him is the guiding light and our ultimate purpose here on earth. He instilled this faith into each of his children and grandchildren. They will carry on his legacy from the example he taught them.
He is survived by children, Sarah (Nate) Godsey, Rachel (John) Puckett both of Belle Center; Isaac and Elijah Nickelson both of Bellefontaine and Mariah Nickelson of Belle Center; many grandchildren; siblings, Bill Nickelson and his friend Cheryl, Lucy Young, both of Marysville; Frank Nickelson and his friend Rose of Springfield, Jane (Ed) Forman of Caledonia, Dan (Michelle) Nickelson of Newark, Bob (Pam) Nickelson of Richmond, VA and Linda (Kip) Stangl of Eagle River, AK; nieces and nephews.
