Gary Alan Homan, 71, of Bellefontaine passed away Thursday, November 29, 2018 at his residence surrounded by his family.

Gary was born December 26, 1946 to the late John C. and Marjorie Helen (Miller) Homan. Gary was raised by Thomas C. Roll and his mother in Bellefontaine. On September 26, 1969 in Springhills, OH he married the love of his life, Barbara Ann Lattimer.

Gary graduated from Bellefontaine High School in 1965. He was a United State Marine Corps veteran who served in the Vietnam War. Gary later worked for the railroad for 40 years. He enjoyed riding his Harleys and taking trips on the bike. He was an avid Chicago Cubs and Ohio State Buckeye fan. Gary was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Ann Homan; sons, John C. (Molly) Homan and Justin A. (Amy) Homan; grandchildren, Jerry A. Homan, Violet S. Homan and Bailey (Kelsey) Held; siblings, Robert F. Roll, Luann (Bill) Troyer and Nancy B. (Shannon) Sheeley; and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial service will be held Monday, December 3, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Jennings Farley & Seeley Funeral Home & Crematory. Visitation will be held from 11:00am until the time of service on Monday. Burial will take place at Springhills Cemetery at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
