Douglas Wesley Thurman, 60 of Bellefontaine passed away Saturday, May 7, 2022 at Mary Rutan Hospital.

Doug was born July 30, 1961 in Springfield, OH to Charles W. and Virginia M. (Clark) Thurman. On December 18, 2003 in Bellefontaine, OH he married Karen L. Potter, who survives.

Doug served in the United States Air Force. He enjoyed cooking and loved spending time with his family. He was a loving husband, step father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle and friend. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Doug is survived by his loving wife 18 years, Karen L. Thurman; father, Charles Wesley Thurman; sons, Charles and Darrell; step children, Darren and Liza-Jean; four grandchildren, Joshua, Rachel, Journey and Julia; sister, Sherrie (Rob) Aubrey; nieces, Natalie (Jim) Blythe, Alise (Christian) Diaz Mendoza.

Doug is preceded in death by his mother, Virginia M. Thurman; brother-in-law, Michael Potter.

A private family service will take place at a later date.
