IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Douglas C
Bigler
September 4, 1964 – January 13, 2024
Douglas Charles Bigler, 59, of West Liberty, was born on September 4th, 1964 in Marion, Ohio. On Saturday, January 13, 2024, he passed away peacefully with family by his side, at Ohio's Hospice of Dayton from early-onset Alzheimer's disease. He was the son of late Charles Bigler and Doris Berg.
Doug is survived by his wife, Angie Bigler, daughter, Ashley Dennis, granddaughter, Kenley Dennis, his sisters, Debbie Murphy, Rhonda Linder, and Cheryl Eggleton. His parents (Kenneth and Diane Workman) and family through marriage, as well as several nieces and nephews and his beloved pups, Sadie, Mia, and Kaydee.
As a 1982 graduate of River Valley High School, Doug was an avid athlete and involved in football, basketball, and baseball. He carried the values he learned through sports throughout his entire life - playing in basketball and softball leagues, pickup games, studying college and professional stats, collecting player trading cards, running fantasy leagues, and eventually became the head coach of the West Liberty Girls Teal and All Star Softball Teams from 1995-1998. He was a loyal Cleveland trifecta and Ohio State Buckeyes fan.
Doug was hired at Honda of America Manufacturing the same year he graduated high school as a production associate. Because of his work ethic and drive, after 32 years of employment, he rose through levels of leadership including production coordinator, new model trainer, safety coordinator, and retired as an administrative coordinator.
Doug will be missed and celebrated by all who knew him.
In honor of Doug's admiration for the Ohio State University, attendees are invited to wear buckeye colors to the visitation and funeral services.
Funeral services will be held 12:00 noon Saturday January 20, 2024 at Jennings Farley & Seeley Funeral Home and Crematory 5591 US Highway 68 S. West Liberty, Ohio 43357.
