Donna Jean Gillenwater, 55 of Bellefontaine passed Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

Donna was born February 9, 1967 in Marysville, OH to the late Marvin G. and Marlene M. (Cook) Hoffman. On October 15, 1987 she married Billy W. Gillenwater, who survives.

Donna enjoyed many things in life, between cooking, baking, making candies; listening to classic rock, bluegrass gospel and country music. She loved gardening, playing cards, traveling and spending time with friends. Above all she loved her family and spending as much time with them as possible over the years. Donna was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to get to know her.

She is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, Bill Gillenwater; daughter, Amber Hoffman; son, Mike Gillenwater; grandchildren, Ashley Harris, James Salyer, Raeonna Harris, Kaeley Gillenwater, Alivia Gillenwater, Haiden Hoffman and Alia Mattox; sister, Hope (Van) Gambrel; many nieces and nephews; special cousin, Audra & Ronnie Boggs.

She is preceded in death by, her parents; daughter, Michelle Hughes; sister, Debbie Whaley; brother, Elvie Hoffman;

A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Jennings Farley & Seeley Funeral Home & Crematory. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service. A private family burial of ashes will take place at a later date.
