Dianna E. B. Thornton, 73 of West Liberty, passed away Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at Mary Rutan Hospital.

Dianna was born on March 7th, 1950, in Lancing, MI to the late Raymond K. and Ardyce A. (Sieber) Brewster. Dianna is survived by her sons, Jamison (Angela) and Joseph (Trish) Thornton; sisters, Deborah Simons and Suzanne Hallberg; brothers, Raymond Brewster and William Brewster, and numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews and grand-nieces and nephews.

Dianna was a graduate of C.S. Mott High School in Warren Michigan. Dianna joined the Army in October of 1968 and served until 1971. She often spoke fondly of her time at Fort Holabird and much of her adventurous spirit seemed to have been cemented in this time of her life.

She graduated from the University of Puget Sound in 1981 with a B.A. in Religion. Though primarily a homemaker, she made stained glass art, had a stint as a radio news reader, learned CAD drafting and interior design and at the time of her passing, was working on two unpublished manuscripts.

The family would like to thank the staff at Green Hills Community, Mad River Dialysis and Mary Rutan Hospital for their exceptional care of Dianna.
