Deborah Ann Martin, 70 of West Liberty passed away peacefully in her home Sunday, March 13, 2022.

She was born August 12, 1951, in Urbana, Ohio and was a 1969 graduate of Graham High School. Through the years Deb enjoyed creating beautiful ceramic pieces, fishing at Indian Lake, an avid NASCAR fan, a long-time member of the Moose Lodge of Indian Lake & Hillcrest Baptist Church, but her greatest joy were her grandchildren.   Deb's soulmate William Martin preceded her in death February 17, 2008.

She is survived by her son Thomas W. (Malia) Hughes, Jr. of West Liberty; grandchildren Isabella & Blaine Hughes, Sister Jeannie (Gary) Beatty of Urbana, Brother Chuck Reed of Urbana; stepbrother Dwight Reed of Springfield; uncle Marion (Sue) Bailey of Urbana; Nieces Mandy (Ken) Frost of Mechanicsburg, and Nicole "Nikki" (Brian) Shoemaker of Upper Arlington, and her dear friend Jean Maxwell.

Deb was preceded in death by her father Donald Wood, mother Angelee Bailey Reed, & sister Brinda (Ron) Shonkwiler. The family is grateful for the special care givers Fawn Stammen, Emily Calderon, Tami Wenger, the staff at Universal Hospice and the staff at Green Hills Community.

A private family graveside service will be held at a later date.
