Danny Elbert Creech, aka "Dusty," 61 of Bellefontaine passed away Sunday, June 2, 2019 at the OSU Wexner Medical Center, surrounded by his favorite people and rocking out to his favorite music.

Danny was born September 11, 1957 in Dayton, OH to the late Elbert Ernest and Jean Rae (Hess) Creech. He spent his early years in Xenia, Ohio, cruising Frisch's in his 1968 Firebird and hosting cards at his house Friday and Saturday nights. He grew up playing football and baseball, and later started a softball team with his brother and friends.

In 1987, Danny moved to Bellefontaine, Ohio to work at Honda Manufacturing, where he spent many years as a coordinator. Recently, Danny worked at Lowes Home Improvement, where he was well known for his expertise and helpful attitude.  Many people recognized him as "the Lowes man."

Danny is best remembered for his two loves: music and the outdoors. Danny spent many hours playing guitar and writing music. He will be remembered by family and friends for the awesome times spent fishing, camping, golfing, and exploring the mysteries of Ohio. If he couldn't make it outside, you could find him watching his favorite baseball team, the Cincinnati Reds. He is well known for his words of wisdom, and if he could talk to us now he would remind us to "put a little vacation in every day."

He is survived by his wife, Jana Millis; children, Devon Creech, Erika (Mitch) Brubaker, Colby Fitzwater, Amanda (Chad) Millis; grandchildren, Raya Millis, Sophia Millis, Kara Millis, Maxwell Millis, Dillon Becerra, Xander Fitzwater, Scott Millis, Austin Millis, Elisa Millis, Elika Koogler and Kaci Koogler; and siblings, Ricky (Jennie) Creech and Saytchyn (Brian) Maddux-Creech; and many well-loved nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

He is preceded in death by his daughter, Jessica Creech.

A Memorial Service will take place Saturday, June 8, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. at Jennings Farley & Seeley Funeral Home & Crematory. A time for gathering with family and friends will take place from 1:00 p.m. up to the time of service. A private family burial will take place at a later date.
