Cheryl D. Wilgus, 83 of West Liberty passed away quietly in her home Monday, February 9, 2026.
Cheryl was born February 7, 1944 in Troy, OH to the late Charles William and Margaret Helen (Roach) LeVan. On June 30, 1990 she married Ivan Wilgus, who preceded her in death. She is also preceded in death by her siblings, William E.O. LeVan, Richard T. LeVan and Michael L. LeVan.
Cheri Graduated from Bellefontaine High School, class of 1962. She loved sitting on the porch sipping her coffee and spending time with her family and friends. Cheri loved cooking, especially family and holiday breakfast. She was a great stepmother who loved her blended family as her own. She has many children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, a sister and many friends, she will be deeply missed by all who loved her.
Cheri is survived by her children, Shelley (Victor) Bond, and Jerry Snapp, Tammy (Jeff) Saylor, Kimberly Wilgus and Kevin Wilgus; grandchildren, Beth Stachler, Chastity (Dean) Morris, Erica (David) Morris, Bo (Ericka) Wilgus, Curtis Wilgus, Mindy (Jonathan) Rogers, Brady Bond, Tyler Bond and Jenna (Ian) Schrader; great grandchildren, Cade Stachler, Keaton Stachler, Corbin Stachler, Aubrie (Jake) Potter, Wesley Morris, Skyla Morris, Sarah Morris, Christopher Morris, Hunter Wilgus, Drake Wilgus, Jax Wilgus, Iliy Ray, Dixie Ray, Ellowyn Rogers and Ryder Wilgus; great great grandchildren, Hermione Mullins, Eira Magaloon, Calvin Potter, Bexley Schrader and Amelia Schrader; sister, Patricia “Pat” A. (Bob) LeVan Mitchell; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews;
A Celebration of Life will take place Tuesday, March 24, 2026 from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. Burial will take place in Highland Memorial Cemetery following the celebration.
