Catherine Ruth Vance, 89 passed away Thursday, November 4, 2021 at Mary Rutan Hospital.

Ruth was born April 30, 1932 in Marion, OH to the late Arthur E. and Hazel C. (Viall) Hall. On September 1, 1967 in Bellefontaine she married the love of her life George F. Vance Jr. who preceded her in death on November 16, 1987.

Ruth is survived by her children, Chuck (Carol) Lefebvre, Hazel Welker (Pierre), Arthur (Eileen) Lefebvre, Michael S. Vance and Robert K. (Deborah) Vance; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Ruth loved her children, her grandchildren and great grandchildren. One of the best gifts given to Ruth was a video frame with many of her children's, grandchildren's and great grandchildren's pictures that would loop through ,she would sit and watch feeling she was with them during their activities. A smile was always on her face as she watched. Her church and her friends meant so much to her they were her family as well. She was a member of the Society of St Simeon & St. Anna. She was an active member at Holy Trinity Church and then at the Church of the Epiphany in Urbana. Ruth worked for Siemens for 21 years. Up until Covid and, at the age of 88, she worked at the Mad River Farm Market. She loved seeing longtime friends come through the door.

Ruth's memorial will be held at the Church of the Epiphany in Urbana, Friday November 12 at 1:00 pm. She will be laid to rest with George and her mother Hazel in Bellefontaine Cemetery, the burial will be private. The family is in the care of Jennings Farley & Seeley Funeral Home & Crematory.
