Carroll Holycross, 88, of Bellefontaine, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday April 8, 2023. He was born May 18, 1934 in North Lewisburg, Ohio to the late Issac W. and Jennie M. (Reames) Holycross Carroll married the love of his life, Sally (Carothers) in November 1952. Sally preceded Carroll in death and went to be with the Lord in 2016. Survivors include his daughter Rosie (Rowe); son-in-law Don Rowe and grand-daughter Heather Kegg; two sisters Tempa Cox and Ruth Ann Woodell; two brothers, Donald Holycross and Darrel (Pat) Holycross, brother-in-law and friend Don (Sherry) Carothers; many nieces, nephews and friends.  He was also preceded in death by his parents; sisters Agnes Murray, Betty Black, Alice Davis, Shirley Johnson and Mary Lou McCoy; three brothers Raymond, Charles, and Aaron.

Carroll worked for Super Food Services for over 40 years and made friends with many co-workers as well as mutiple IGA stores. He loved God and his family so very much and we all felt his love every day. After retiring he began drawing and painting pictures and became very good at it. He loved having his family and friends visit him and he could tell you so many stories from the past. Thank you all who came and spent time with him, as he loved every minute of it. Thank you friends, family and Churches for all your prayers and support, as it meant so much. Thank you Dr. Arshad and the Ohio State James Cancer Center for your kindness and your care of Dad.

Pastor Eric Cook of the Vineyard Christian Church will officiate a Funeral Service 11:30 am Friday April 14th at Jennings Farley & Seeley Funeral Home, 5591 US Highway 68, West Liberty, Ohio 43357. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until time of service.  Burial will follow at the Bellefontaine Cemetery.
