Carol Louise "Tootsie" Jenkins Potter

Carol "Tootsie" Potter 97, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, December 15, 2021, at her residence in West Liberty, Ohio.

She was born in Urbana, Ohio, on July 30, 1924, to the late Carl Jenkins and Eva Starrett Jenkins. She was preceded in death by her husband of 74 Years, Lester Potter, on November 9, 2016.  The seventh of nine children, she was also preceded in death by brothers Thurman Jenkins, Von Jenkins, and Ronald Jenkins; sisters, Delores Smith, Bernice Lynne, and Audrey Lambert.  She is survived by her children Gary (Carol) Potter, Sandy (Dave) Rowley, Denise Baldwin, Brenda (Ed) Carpenter, and Karen (Joel) Karg; 12 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren and two sisters, Phyllis Rees and Virginia Smith. Carol was a 1942 graduate of West Liberty High School and spent her life as an immaculate homemaker. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved Jesus, gave her life to Him, and spent her life serving her Lord at Calvary Baptist Church where she had been a member her entire life.

Pastor Jeff Willetts will officiate a funeral service at 11:00 am Monday, December 20, 2021, at the Jennings Farley & Seeley Funeral Home and Crematory 5591 US Route 68 S. West Liberty, Ohio 43357.  Visiting hours will be from 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm, Sunday, December 19, 2021, at the funeral home, and one hour prior to the funeral service.  Burial will be in Highland Memorial Cemetery.
