Carol Ann Childers, 79, of West Liberty passed away Sunday, October 12, 2025 at the Springfield Regional Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.

Carol was born June 27, 1946 in Columbus to the late Gilbert and Iris Basham. On January 16, 1965 in Columbus she married the love of her life Roger Lee Childers, who survives. She is also survived by her children, Tina (Dana) Lee, Dann (Ruth) Childers, Debbie (Mark Thompson) Shire; grandchildren, LeAnna Stamper, Adam (Alicia) Lee, Lucas (Lisa Wardlow) Saylor, Madison (Taylor) Bailey, Marlee (Caleb) Dowdy, Gracie (Isaiah Ebrite) Shire; several loving great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

As a devoted pastor's wife, Carol spent her life serving others with quiet strength, compassion, and unwavering faith. Her greatest passion was her family. Carol's happiest moments were those spent surrounded by her loved ones. Carol had a special gift for caring for children, touching countless young lives with her gentle heart. Her warmth and kindness were felt by everyone she met.

She will be remembered for her love, her faith, and the way she made everyone feel like family. Carol's legacy lives on in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, many loving siblings and half siblings.

A Celebration of Life will be led by Pastor Del Wallace of Forest Valley Church, Friday, October 17, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at Jennings Farley & Seeley Funeral Home & Crematory, 5591 US Hwy 68 S., West Liberty, OH 43357. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will take place in Highland Memorial Cemetery at a later date.
