Carlos Wayne Butler, 78 of Bellefontaine, passed away Friday, June 19, 2026 at Ayden Belle Springs.

Carlos was born July 29, 1947, in Morehead, KY to the late Elgan and Bessie L. (Cooper) Butler.

Carlos was a kind and loving man, who was well liked by his fellow residents at the nursing home and by all the nurses and staff. He will be deeply missed by those who had the privilege to get to know him.

He is survived by his brother, Gary (Phyllis) Butler of Bellefontaine, Roger (Rosalinda) Butler of Hawaii, John “Jack” (Susan) Butler of Bellefontaine and Jeff Butler of Bellefontaine; multiple nieces and nephews.

Private family services will take place at a later date. Burial will take place in Highland Memorial Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family wishes for contributions to be made to the funeral home to assist in final expenses.
