Bryan Curtis Dalrymple, 45, of Bellefontaine, Ohio passed away on Thursday, October 29, 2026, surrounded by his immediate family.
Born in Bellefontaine on April 26, 1981, Bryan was the son of Joe and Deb (Clifton) Dalrymple. He graduated from Indian Lake High School in 2000, participated in sports, and remained a proud Laker. A resolute, hardworking employee of the City of Bellefontaine for 14 years, he took pride in serving the community he loved. He enjoyed his work and cherished his coworkers, who became his work family.
Bryan embraced life and those around him, brightening gatherings with his wit and gift for storytelling. His optimism and determination earned him the nickname “Bulldog.” Even while battling cancer, he inspired those who knew him and brought joy to hospital staff. He was a man of deep faith.
Bryan treasured his family and friends. He enjoyed Thursday evenings with the J & R cornhole gang, watching the Browns and Guardians with family on Sundays, and spending time with his beloved dog, Diesel. He also loved being with children and served as a mentor.
Bryan was preceded in death by his loving grandparents, Clayton and Bea Dalrymple and Richard and Alice Clifton; his uncles, Bill Dalrymple, Rutherford Blair, and Terry Clifton; and his aunts, Arleen Dalrymple, Mary Cooper, and Shirley (Russell) Lusk.
Bryan is survived by his aunts, Gloria (Chuck) Jacobs, Cheryl Clifton, Nancy Blair, Susan (Bill) Rhyne, Linda (Tom) Maynard, and Betty (Art) Lloyd; his uncles, Richard (Ann) Clifton, Gary Clifton, Paul Cooper, James (Bonnie) Dalrymple, and Charlie Dalrymple, his godfather; special friend, Ruth Patterson; and his many treasured cousins.
