Bruce E. Bowling 85, of Lakeview passed away Saturday November 2, 2024 at his home surrounded by his family and his loving Jesus.  He was born September 24, 1939 in Boyd County Kentucky, the son of Elgan and Pauline Bowling.

Bruce was the retired owner of Bowling Optical with over 25 years of service.  He was a member of the Bellefontaine First Church of God, and was a very active Gospel singer, as well as a former Country and Western Entertainer.

Survivors include his wife, Jean; children Kim (Don) Henderson, Jim (Cherie) Bowling, Elizabeth Bowling, Beth Ryan, Tom (Kathy) Ryan; grandchildren Amanda (Lee), Heather (Eric), Casey, Tamara (Ian), Katherine, Braden and Devin; also by four great grandchildren; brother Bert Bowling; sisters Arbie Frank and Betty (Jay) Morrow.  He was preceded in death by his first wife Mary Alice and his son Randy Bowling.

Pastor Gary Brown will officiate a funeral service 1:00 PM Thursday November 7, 2024 at Jennings Farley & Seeley Funeral Home 5591 US Route 68 S. West Liberty, Ohio 43357.  Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until time of service. In Lieu of flowers contributions may be directed to the Bellefontaine First Church of God, 1000 East Brown Ave Bellefontaine, Ohio 43311
