Billy Ray Rose 76 of Columbus passed away Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus.

Billy was born December 25, 1942 in Bellefontaine to the late Ralph Blair and Martha Bell (Campbell) Rose. On May 6, 1962 in Belle Center he married Cynthia Lee Alexander.

Billy retired from Utility Truck Equipment after several years of dedicated service. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle and friend. He will be missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife, Cynthia Lee Rose; children, James Douglas Rose and Holly Lynnette (Larry) Colegrove; grandchildren, Douglas Ray, Alissa, Brittani; great grandchildren, Bella and Gunner Rose; nieces, Tara, Tamara and Tiffany; cousins and several loving extended family members.

He is preceeded in death by his parents; son, Douglas Ray Rose; sister, Judy Young.

A Celebration of Life and Burial Ceremony will be held at a later date.

In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the James Cancer Bone Marrow Research.
