Betty J. Stemmer, 94 of Dayton, passed away Thursday, October 12, 2017 at Greenhills Community. Betty was born May 20, 1923 in Dayton, Oh to the late Frank and Barbara (Snyder) Trubee. In 1948 she married John A. Stemmer, who had passed before her in 2001. Betty work at Delco Products for many years before retiring in 1986. She enjoyed fishing, playing cards, watching the Cincinnati Reds and spending time with her family. Betty was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend; she will be deeply missed. Betty is survived by her daughter, Patty Lee (Dave Alig); grandchildren, Natalie, Grant, Candice and Max; great grandchildren, Jake, Julia, Anna, Aden and Nate; many nieces and nephews. Betty is preceeded in death by her husband; parents; daughters, Karen Cox, Betty Stemmer and Mary Nostrand; sisters, Ruth Miller, Helen Keiser and Edna Jacobs; brothers, Frank Trubee and Sonny Trubee. Services will be held Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. at Jennings Farley Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will held from 5:00 p.m. until time of the service. There will be a burial at Calvary Cemetery in Kettering at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Greenhills Community or Universal Home Health and Hospice.
