Barbara Rae Dotson, 72 of Bellefontaine passed away Tuesday, June 17, 2025 at Lima Memorial Hospital.

Barb was born March 19, 1953 in Bellefontaine to the late Ray P. and Glendora (Bell) Allen. On June 15, 1990 in Bellefontaine she married Larry E. Dotson, who survives. She is also survived by her daughters, Heather Shisler and Ashley Dotson; stepsons, Mark Dotson and Ben Dotson; grandchildren, Austin Dotson, Madalyn Dotson, Hunter McColloch, Jaxon Dotson, Coalton Speakman, Olivia Dotson and Callahan Shisler; siblings, Jim Allen; many loving nieces and nephews; best friend, Doris Heminger.

Barb liked bowling and embroidery. She loved spending time with her family and friends. Barb was a kind, loving, quick witted woman. She had a great sense of humor and loved to share that with everyone she knew. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to get to know her.

She is preceded in death by her nephew, Jonathan Allen.

A Celebration of Life will take place Saturday, June 21, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. at Jennings Farley & Seeley Funeral Home. Visitation will take place from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
