Obituary

Ann Louise Thurman, 80 years old, received her heavenly body as she went to be with her Lord and Savior Sunday morning, November 12, 2017. She was at her home with her loving husband, Doyle.
Ann was born on February 22, 1937 to the late Raymond Clifford and Jessie May Boner in Battle Creek MI. Ann married Doyle Eugene Thurman on July 24th, 1990 after only one week of courting. Ann retired from Westinghouse and together she and Doyle traveled between Florida and Ohio to visit family. As age and medical issues took a tole on Ann's body, Doyle lovingly provided for her every need. He loved her bright blue eyes and tells how her eye's "would talk" to him even when she didn't.
Ann loved her family unconditionally as well as her church family at the Possum Road Church of God in Springfield. Nannie Annie, as her great grandchildren referred to her, loved to end each meal with something sweet. She would scrape her plate clean before leaving the table. Ann's favorite phrase was "Oh, dear!" She collected numerous knick-knacks for inside and outside of her house. Her favorite color was green.
Ann will be dearly missed by her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers; son Randy and four grandchildren. Her family includes, children: Vickey (Jody) Rork, Randy (Jo) Miller, Mike (Tammy) Miller and Brian (Kathy) Miller. Stepchildren; Deborah (Larry) Gibbs, Gene Allen Thurman, Marilyn Thurman, Doyle (Wendy) Thurman, Joseph Thurman and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Jennings Farley Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service on Wednesday.
