Eulicia "Teddy" (Wells) Sawyer, 73, of Lakeview, departed from this life on Monday, July 17, 2017 at Green Hills Community of West Liberty. She was born January 21, 1944 in Paintsville, Kentucky, the daughter of Edwin and Lucille (Stepp) Wells. Teddy attended Triad High School and then acquired a degree in Cosmetology from Springfield. She held various offices in the Grove City Post of the Veterans of Foreign War, where her late husband served as Commander and then District Commander. She enjoyed her home where she and Don lived for many years. She also enjoyed boating on Indian Lake, and many trips to Florida. Her favorite pastime was watching fireworks from her backyard, doing family genealogy and painting was her favorite hobby. She is survived by her step-mother, Bulah Jane Wells of Woodstock; sisters, Ila Jean (Roderick) Yocom of Cable, Ellen (Pastor Kenny) Cordell of Urbana, Helen Combs of Urbana, Lillian Ann (Dr. Douglas) Hostetler of Seward, Nebraska; sister-in-law, Christina (Eddie) Wells of Cable; step-brothers, Charle Crusie of Washington Court House, David Crusie of Florida and Tom and Mark Crusie of Virginia. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Donald W. Sawyer; her brother, Edwin (Eddie) D. Wells; and nephew, Christopher M. Hostetler. Funeral service will be held at JENNINGS FARLEY FUNERAL HOME Saturday, July 22, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Grant Cordell officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until time of the service. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Cemetery.
